We start with your design. Modular is how we build it, not what you settle for.

Accessibility

Two things sit under this heading: a website anyone can use, and houses anyone can live in. We take both seriously.

This website

We build toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In practice that means real text rather than pictures of text, contrast that holds up in sunlight, a visible focus ring on every interactive element, headings in order, alt text on every photograph, and a layout with no horizontal scrolling from 360 px to 1920 px. The site works with the keyboard alone and respects a reduced-motion preference.

Known gaps

Third-party scheduling and mapping tools embedded here are outside our control and may not meet the same standard. If one blocks you, email us and we will do it by phone or by email instead.

Accessible homes

  • Step-free entry at one door, with the grade worked out at site plan stage rather than patched with a ramp later
  • 32 inch clear door openings and a turning circle in the primary bathroom
  • Blocking in bathroom walls for grab bars, whether or not you fit them now
  • Curbless showers, lever hardware and rocker switches at reachable heights
  • Single-level plans across most of the ADU library, and a ground-floor primary suite option on the houses

Ask for these at the design stage and they cost very little. Added afterwards they cost a great deal, which is the whole argument for deciding early.
